This non-invasive treatment is performed with the utilisation of our NdYag laser, that works by gently heating the upper dermis of the skin to stimulate collagen re-growth. Laser Genesis works to coagulate the tiny vessels that cause diffuse redness. The beam of light is absorbed by blood, creating enough heat in order to coagulate the blood, resulting in a reduction of redness. Our skin’s immune system then sends in scavenger cells known as macrophages to remove these vessels.
Many clients have described the feeling of this treatment like “sitting in front of a heater”. Although hot at times most find it quite relaxing and comfortable. On average, a treatment takes 15 to 45 minutes depending on the area being treated.
Laser genesis is like ‘gym for the skin’ and so if you’re looking for a toning treatment to improve the overall skin tone and texture, this is it.

There is minimal to no downtime associated with this treatment and many clients return to work following a treatment. Most commonly a very slight redness to the skins surface is visible after the treatment.

Whilst results can vary and some patients may see improvements after 1 to 2 treatments, for most patients, Laser Genesis has accumulative benefits and results will be more noticeable after a series of treatments. On average, our clients attend a course of six sessions, every four weeks. We then recommend a maintenance treatment every 3-6 months or as required.
To enhance your results, IPL is a treatment that can be layered with Laser Genesis to help reduce redness and rejuvenate the skin.
The cost depends on the area being treated. The face is a common area to treat at $355 per session. A smaller area such as only your nose or chin starts from $185 per treatment session.
