We know that wrinkles and fine lines are a natural part of life. We also understand that some people want to reduce the appearance of wrinkles. We recognise that everyone ages differently, which is why at The CAPS Clinic we never adopt a ‘one-size-fits-all’ treatment program.
With multiple laser and light devices combined with the expertise of our Dermal Clinicians and Aesthetic Nurses, The CAPS Clinic can develop a customised treatment program to help our patients achieve their rejuvenation goals.

Why choose The CAPS Clinic for your wrinkle management.
We are a plastic surgeon–led clinic. Our highly professional team is led by Dr Alastair Taylor, a qualified and experienced aesthetic plastic surgeon. The CAPS Clinic has been caring for the Canberra community for over 28 years. Under Dr Taylor’s direct supervision, our aesthetic nurses have provided treatments to patients seeking to achieve their aesthetic goals.

Our Aesthetic Nurses are experienced, qualified and receive specialised training, working in consultation with Dr Taylor. Your initial consultation is conducted in person with both Dr Taylor and one of our Aesthetic Nurses. A script and treatment plan is then provided. Our Aesthetic Nurses are highly skilled in wrinkle management and are dedicated to helping you achieve your goals.
Yvette
As a long-term member of The CAPS Clinic team, Yvette has worked alongside Dr Taylor in both the Surgical and Non-Surgical services offered at the clinic. Whilst semi-retired, Yvettes, love for treating our Aesthetic Patients, keeps her coming back for more.
Her patients experience a dedicated and passionate advocate who shares her deep understanding of the anatomy and her commitment to safety with consistent and reproducible results.

Anne Marie
As a registered nurse, Anne Marie has undertaken specialised training under the guidance of Dr Taylor in both theatre and aesthetics.
Renowned for her skillful technique and meticulous attention to detail, Anne Marie is dedicated to achieving the best possible outcomes for every patient. Working alongside Dr Taylor, she delivers each treatment with precision, safety, and a strong focus on patient satisfaction.

Over time, Kathleen’s interests evolved into aesthetic nursing at CAPS, where she combines her clinical expertise with her passion for helping patients achieve their aesthetic goals. She is committed to providing personalised care, ensuring that every patient feels comfortable and informed throughout their aesthetic journey.
“As an aesthetic nurse, I commonly treat concerns such as fine lines, wrinkles, signs of ageing, and volume loss. I also work with patients to improve the appearance of specific facial features—like the lips, jawline, or cheeks—using non-surgical cosmetic treatments tailored to each individual”.

Your first consultation is all about understanding your goals and creating a plan tailored specifically to you. During this visit, we will discuss your concerns, expectations, and desired outcomes in detail. We will also talk openly about your budget to ensure that any recommended treatments align with what you are comfortable investing.
Based on this conversation and a thorough assessment, we will create a personalised treatment plan tailored to your individual goals and preferences, designed to help you achieve satisfying results. You will have plenty of time to ask questions, ensuring you feel fully informed and comfortable before moving forward.

Most treatments are very well tolerated by patients. A topical anaesthetic cream can be applied to the treatment area if required to maximise comfort. We also use a combination of ice (cold) therapy during treatment if needed to help minimise any discomfort.
A clean face and no makeup on the treatment area is essential. No other skin treatments or special preparation is required before your appointment.
The recovery period depends on the type of treatment:
You may experience a few days of mild swelling or tenderness.
Minor bruising can occur and may last up to a week.
Most patients are able to resume their usual activities immediately, with any mild swelling or minor bruising typically settling quickly.
