Our Statement on Handling Coronavirus/ COVID-19 Risks

The CAPS Clinic have lifted many of their most restrictive COVID safety guidelines, including visitor restrictions and mandatory surgical masks. However, as we are a Health facility, various guidelines are still in place.

Mask Requirements

ACT Health have lifted restrictions related to mask-wearing indoors, and as a result surgical masks are no longer required in most areas of The CAPS Clinic.
However, mask-wearing is still encouraged to keep you and our team safe.

Keeping You & Our Team Safe

In light of the situation with coronavirus and COVID-19 in Australia, we want our clients to feel reassured that when you visit us for your appointment, we have measures in place to keep you and our team safe. Please note that whilst we are a medical facility with healthcare professionals and strict hygiene measures, we are not a GP practice with unwell clients attending our premises. We will continue to maintain a safe clinical environment with the same level of high quality service that you have come to expect from the CAPS clinic.

Actions to Reduce Risks include

• Multiple locations throughout the clinic to undertake thorough hand hygiene for all clients & staff, including alcohol-based hand rub dispensers in reception areas, and soap, water & paper towel in bathrooms.
• Increased frequency of surface cleaning on all surfaces such as keyboards, phones, pens etc. with clinical grade disinfectant wipes.
• Increased frequency of cleaning, with rooms being cleaned in-between patient appointments

Please reschedule your appointment if

You have ANY of these symptoms:

• Fever
• Cough
• Sore throat
• Shortness of breath

AND/ OR you have had contact with someone diagnosed with or suspected of having coronavirus in the 14 days before getting sick

Please call (02) 6282 1155 to reschedule.  If you consider your appointment is necessary, please contact us to discuss your options.

If you need to reschedule or cancel your appointment within the 48 hour period of your appointment due to illness or the above conditions, your booking deposit will be returned to you.
