Our Statement on Handling Coronavirus/ COVID-19 Risks

Due to government measures to help stop the spread of COVID-19, we are open to provide essential services only, on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays from 8am to 5pm. Our Hand Hygiene, Clinic Hygiene, Client Arrival/ Temperature Checks Procedure and Visitor Restrictions remain in place (as per the information below). We thank you for your support and understanding. Please call (02) 6282 1155 for any information or queries you may have.

Our My Genesis and Frosted Away Clinics are temporarily closed, and we are not performing cosmetic injectables, non-surgical fat reduction or skin rejuvenation treatments at this time. Our team have been hard at work contacting our loyal clients with existing appointments. You can stay in touch with your Dermal Clinician by emailing mygenesis@capsclinic.com.au to ask any questions about your skin or skincare products. You can call (02) 6282 1155 to find out how to buy your products and pick them up with minimal contact involved.

Coronavirus precautions 2020

In light of the situation with coronavirus and COVID-19 in Australia, we want our clients to feel reassured that when you visit us for your appointment, we have measures in place to keep you and our team safe. Please note that whilst we are a medical facility with healthcare professionals and strict hygiene measures, we are not a GP practice with unwell clients attending our premises. We will continue to maintain a safe clinical environment with the same level of high quality service that you have come to expect from the CAPS clinic.

The CAPS Clinic appreciates your understanding in these circumstances. We understand these are extraordinary times but we will be aiming to provide support to the Canberra community as we have done for over 20 years.

Client Arrival Procedures

As an essential service, we remain open on limited days. To keep our team and clients safe we are staggering arrivals to allow everyone to maintain a safe distance and provide time and space for our staff to check your temperature in our downstairs foyer area. The staff member will be wearing full PPE. A temperature of 37.5°C and above your appointment will have to be postponed, or rescheduled by calling (02) 6282 1155. If your temperature is under 37.5°C, you will be asked to use the hand sanitiser provided before proceeding with your appointment. Thank you for understanding with these measures to keep you and our team safe.

Actions to Reduce Risks include

  • Multiple locations throughout the clinic to undertake thorough hand hygiene for all clients & staff, including alcohol-based hand rub dispensers in reception areas, and soap, water & paper towel in bathrooms.
  • Waiting rooms have been set up to ensure 1 metre distance between chairs.
  • Minimising handling of surfaces, by propping doors open and removing tea and coffee making facilities, and magazines, in our waiting rooms.
  • Increased frequency of surface cleaning with clinical grade disinfectant wipes.
  • Our Skin Cancer Specialists, Dermal Clinicians and Aesthetic Injectors will be wearing masks during your consultation or treatment.
